Fridays December 11, 18 Year-End Wisdom Training and Practice on the Heart Sutra 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. = Class This two-evening mini-course will focus on the Heart Sutra to pacify emotional baggage and purify negative karma. This class will provide a year-end spiritual cleaning to start a new year. The Heart Sutra text will be provided at class. Suggested Class Donation: $15 per class (Work/Study available. Uttaratantra is one of the five texts originated from the Arya Maitreya which presents the Buddha's definitive teachings on how we should understand the Buddha nature, the inherent purity and perfection of the nature of mind, untouched by changing mental states. This is an important text which forms the basis for Vajrayana practice. Thus, it builds a bridge between the Sutrayana and Vajrayana levels of the Buddha's teaching.

Tuesdays Tara Initiations Tuesday, June 9 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. White Tara Initiation To overcome the destructive emotions and for health and long life. You will have an opportunity to make the traditional khata offering to the Lama at the end of the initiation.
Tuesday, June 16 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Red Tara Initiation In Celebration of Mahasiddha Virupa's (the founder of the Sakya Lam Dre Cycle of Teachings) Enlightenment Day Red Tara: To overcome the insecurities and fear and to increase self confidence and power. Mahassida Virupa is well known as the most powerful yogi in India. To celebrate his power, the Red Tara Initiation will be held. Please note: The Red Tara Initiation will be held instead of the previously announced Tara Tsok Offering. You will have an opportunity to make the traditional khata offering to the Lama at the end of the initiation.
